Privacy & Security Notice

This privacy and security notice describes the practice of Denman Group Inc. (hereinafter "Denman Group") with respect to the collection, maintenance and disclosure of client information.

Client Privacy

Collection of Personal Information

With your consent, Denman Group may gather personal information from you over the telephone (including fax), in person, or by corresponding with you via mail. The choice to provide Denman Group with personal and financial information remains yours. However, your decision to withhold details that inhibit service delivery may limit the scope of services that Denman Group is able to provide to you. A Denman Group representative will be happy to advise you of specific personal information required to carry out services.

Collection Methods

Non-Personal Information

When you browse www.denmangroup.ca, you browse anonymously, which means that personal information is not collected. Denman Group may, however, use cookies to collect non-personal information including general geographic location and technical specifications, such as browser type. Cookies contain no information that can be used to identify you personally.

Personal Information

Personal information about you may be collected from:

  • Publicly available sources (including your name, address, etc.)
  • Applications, forms and/or other documents you willfully provide to Denman Group
  • Any communication willfully provided to Denman Group via telephone, post, or in person
  • Financial transactions processed by Denman Group

Use of Personal Information Collected

Non-Personal Information

Denman Group collects and uses non-personal information such as demographic data to analyze and develop our marketing strategy and to determine how to further improve our Web Site based upon user data. We may share this non-personal information with our partners and third parties.

Personal Information

Personal information collected by Denman Group is used for the sole purpose of service delivery as specified contractually by our clients. We do not disclose our client’s personal or financial information without specific written consent, except as ‘required by law’ (see below).

As Required by Law

Denman Group will respond, as required by law, to any valid requests for information – such as when subpoenaed – from domestic or international authorities. Whenever legally permissible, we will provide clients with written notice of such occurrences. In every case, Denman Group will seek a legal opinion as to the validity of any such legal requirement before complying.

Client Security

We safeguard client information by maintaining robust physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with or exceed industry standards for guarding non-public personal information and transactions against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and/or misuse. Additionally, every aspect of our processing and operations is segregated, ensuring that employee access to sensitive account information is limited to only those assigned to each account.

Account Numbers and Passwords

When you become a Denman Group client, you will be assigned an account number and be asked to choose a password that you must provide every time you contact Denman Group in order to authenticate your account number and grant permission to access your Denman Group service. During account sign-up you will also be asked to answer several follow-up questions that may be used to further authenticate your identity when speaking to Denman Group representatives.

Guard Your Authentication Info

From time to time, you may be contacted by a Denman Group representative that you are unfamiliar with. A reverse authentication password is created by each client, to be used by the client to verify that the contact initiated by Denman Group is legitimate. If you do not receive the appropriate response or are unsure of the authenticity of the information you receive, please call us at 1.888.4.DENMAN to verify that the correspondence is legitimate. You should not share your account number or password with anyone outside of Denman Group, and disclose it to Denman Group representatives only when you are able to verify that the communication is legitimate.

Email Policy

Denman Group advises that you do NOT share your authentication information – or any other personal financial data, such as credit card numbers – via email under any circumstance. Denman Group will not be responsible for any losses or damages you may incur if you communicate confidential information to us over the Internet.
